Entries are invited from designers and manufacturers that make their products exclusively in Britain
The UK Fashion & Textile Assosciation (UKFT), a trade body for the British fashion and textile industry, have relaunched their UK Fashion & Textile Awards for 2013, and for the first time there is a category honouring those that support British manufacturing.
Announcing the launch of the event last month, UKFT chairman Peter Lucas said “We are an industry not just of designers but also suppliers, manufacturers and some of the best and most innovative textile businesses in the world. Without them our industry could not exist and they should be recognised for thriving even in such difficult economic times.”
The UKFT Let’s Make it Here Award is open to all brands and manufacturers from the fashion, accessories and textiles sector that make all of their products in the UK.
Entry is free and the prize will be awarded to the winner at a black tie event in Mayfair on the 23rd May.
Entry forms can be found on the
UKFT Awards website
and the deadline for entries is 8 March 2013.
